BUCKIE Rovers are the champions.
They celebrated their first league title in 24 years after victory at Islavale on Saturday, March 12.
Co-manager Dave Findlay said: "The celebration was brilliant. We went back to the Harbour Bar in Buckie and there were a few sore heads on Sunday morning."
Findlay paid tribute to the players, coaching staff, fans and all the officials – both past and present – who have worked hard to keep the club alive in recent years. "The players have been fantastic and I am delighted for everyone at the club who has worked tirelessly to make things right. It is a fantastic club."
After winning the Elginshire Cup last season, Findlay said adding the league was a terrific achievement.
"Good teams win cups but great teams win leagues," he added.
Rovers can now look forward to a first ever campaign in the North Superleague.
