HUNDREDS of Gordon Highlander veterans marched through Buckie in tribute to the town's sole recipient of the Victoria Cross.
Private George McIntosh earned the honour for outstanding bravery on July 31, 1917 in Belgium.
He stormed a German machine gun position to prevent his colleagues from being killed.
A commemoration service and parade took place in Buckie on Saturday, July 29.
Veterans saw a plaque unveiled in memory of Pte McIntosh, with his daughter Grace there to perform the unveiling.
The former Gordons then march up High Street to Linzee Gordon Park where tribute was paid to all 19 Gordon Highlanders who received the Victoria Cross in the regiment's 200 year history.
