THREE teenage boys have been charged in connection with alleged vandalism at Macduff Primary School earlier this year.
Two incidents involving nursery equipment being damaged – one between March 9 and 10, and another between March 15 and 16 – were reported to local officers.
A 15-year-old and 16-year-old have been charged in connection with the earlier incident, while a 14-year-old has been charged in connection with the second. They will be reported to the Youth Justice Management Unit.
PC Graeme Smith, who led the investigations, said: "I would like to thank the local community for their assistance and co-operation while inquiries were carried out.
"Although the damage reported did not amount to a significant total in financial terms, the impact on the nursery and primary school pupils, parents as well as staff cannot be underestimated."
