A LANDSLIP has brought down a temporary wall at Gardenstown.
The heavy snow and subsequent thaw caused the landslip.
The fresh movement exposed many new cracks at the top of the hill and displaced large rocks within the slip.
Work has begun to make the area safe.
Banff and Buchan roads manager Derek Murray said: "Clearly this is a very complex situation but at the heart of all our decisions is safety."
