Emma Glennie (nee Cheyne), former pupil of Macduff Primary and Banff Academy, graduated from The Robert Gordon University with a bachelor of nursing degree. Emma is now working as a surgical nurse in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
Carrie-Ann Goodbrand, Banff, graduated from the Robert Gordon University with a honours degree in midwifery and adult nursing, passing with distinction. Carrie-Ann has taken up a staff nurse post at Sue Ryder Care, Aberdeen. She is a former pupil of Banff Primary and Banff Academy.
Duncan Innes, from Banff, graduated from the University of Aberdeen with a MA Hons in geography. Duncan, a former pupil of Banff Academy, will be working and travelling in Canada over the next year.
Kathleen Hendry, graduated from the Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki, Finland, with a BBA degree in multi-lingual business administration. A former Banff Academy pupil, she went to Finland 20 years ago as a teacher of English as a foreign language.
Lois Gray of Greenacres, Fordyce, graduated BA (Hons) in economics and finance from the University of Strathclyde. Lois was also awarded the Journal of Economic Studies Prize for the best economics dissertation in her honours year.
Jenna Harpin, from Portsoy, graduated with an Adult Nursing Diploma from the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen. Jenna is working as a staff nurse at the Belford Hospital in Fort William, and the Glencoe Hospital.
Nancy Gill, from Turriff, graduated from Paisley University with a Diploma of Higher Education in Adult Nursing. She will soon be aiming for her RMN qualification (Registered Mental Nurse) from the Robert Gordon University.
Emma Johnston, formerly of Banff, celebrates her 'A' pass in HNC Early Education and Childcare, gained at Aberdeen College. Emma is working in nurseries throughout Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen city, and now lives in Newmachar.
Rachel Johnstone, from Macduff, gained her SVQ level 2 in hairdressing from Moray College, Elgin. Rachel is now a full-time stylist at the Ishii hairdressing and beauty salon in Macduff.
Colin Gray, from Portsoy, a former Banff Academy pupil, graduated HND in mechanical engineering from the Glasgow School of Nautical Studies, and qualified as Engineer Officer of the Watch with an SVQ level 3 in marine engineering on Maersk tankers as 4th engineer.
Alan John from Banff has graduated B Mus with first class honours from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (RSAMD) in Glasgow. Alan's first instrument is the classical violin, and he goes back to the Academy next year to do postgraduate work in performance. Alan was last in Banff just a month ago, playing in concert with the RSAMD Cairn String Quartet.
Richard Greig, from Portsoy, graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical systems from the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. Richard, who stays in Wood Street, is now working in Aberdeen with FMC Technologies.
Arlene Hepburn, Gardenstown, graduated BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy from the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen. Arlene is a former pupil of Bracoden Primary and Banff Academy.
