Graeme Angus (22), of Chattanville, Seafield Street, Banff, graduated from The University of Edinburgh with a degree of Master of Engineering with First Class Honours in electronics and electrical engineering. Graeme, a former pupil of Banff Primary and Banff Academy, will take up a position with Wolfson Micro-electronics in Edinburgh later in the year.
Tracey Bruce has graduated with a HND in textile studies from Aberdeen College, and is now studying BA Hons in fashion design at Gray's School of Art in Aberdeen. Tracey is a former pupil of Banff Primary School and Banff Academy.
Stephen Bertram graduated with a BSc (Honours) in geography from Aberdeen University. The former pupil of Banff Primary School and Banff Academy is continuing his studies at the university, for a Masters degree in applied geo spatial technology.
Vanessa Alexander, from Banff, graduated from the University of Cumbria with a BA (Hons) degree in primary and professional education studies, with QTS, specialising in early childhood education. Vanessa, a former pupil of Banff Academy, is starting her teaching career at the Hamilton School, Aberdeen.
Heather Clark graduated from the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, with a Bachelor of Science honours degree in Diagnostic Radiography. The former Banff Academy pupil is now working in Dr Gray's Hospital, Elgin.
Lee Cresswell graduated with a BSc Honours degree in Computer Games Technology at the University of Abertay in Dundee. Lee is the eldest son of Alec Cresswell, who now lives in Poland, and the grandson of Benny and Betty Cresswell, from Macduff.
Kelly-Marie Anthony, of Boyndie, Banff, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Fashion Business from Glasgow Caledonian University. She is a former pupil of Whitehills Primary and Banff Academy.
Emma Connell, granddaughter of Mrs Helen Connell, Banff, graduated from Aberdeen University with a Bachelor of Music second class honours degree. Emma is planning to go on and study for her teacher's qualification.
David Bishop has graduated M Eng in civil engineering from Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh. The former Banff Academy pupil is now working as a civil engineer in Edinburgh.
Charlene Burnett from Whitehills has graduated as a Bachelor of Nursing (Adult Nursing) from the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. The former Whitehills Primary School and Banff Academy pupil is furthering her nursing career as a staff nurse at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
Kenny Bruce, 15B Chapel Street, Turriff, graduated as a Master of Business Administration from the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen. The 47-year-old married father of three attended the university at the same time as his two daughters. Kenny, a former pupil of Banff Primary School and Banff Academy, left school at the age of 15 to become a fisherman, and later joined the oil industry. While studying for his degree, Kenny also worked full-time with the firm KCA Deutag. He is now an operations manager with Petrofac.
Gillian Beaty from Gardenstown graduated with a Bachelor's degree in adult nursing from the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. Gillian, who now lives in Sauchen, is working as a staff nurse at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
Michelle Allan (23), from Banff, graduated as a Master of Pharmacy from the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. The former Whitehills Primary School and Banff Academy pupil now lives in Aberdeen, where she has just started work at a pharmacy.
Scott Baptie, from Alvah, Banff, a former Banff Primary School and Banff Academy pupil, graduated MA (Hons) in geography and international relations from the University of Aberdeen. Scott is now taking a gap year to travel.

Nicola Barron has graduated BA honours in journalism and publishing at the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen. She has secured a post working with STV. Proud parents are former Banff Academy pupils David and Susan Barron, and her grandparents are Sandy and Martha Barron, High Street, Banff, and Bill and Margaret Stott, Corskie Drive, Macduff.
Gemma Boddie, eldest daughter of Willie and Yvonne, Macduff, graduated as a Bachelor of Laws from Aberdeen University. The former Banff Academy pupil returns to Aberdeen University in September to continue with her studies, before beginning work as a trainee solicitor at Walter Gerrard and Co, Macduff.
Kate Cameron, a former Banff Academy pupil, graduated B Sc (Hons) in biological sciences from the University of Edinburgh. Kate is currently living and working in Edinburgh.
Christine Allan, Portsoy, graduated BTech.Ed. (with Merit in Teaching) at the University of Glasgow. She comes north after the school holidays to the Gordon Schools in Huntly to take up a temporary teaching post in the school’s technology department.
Stephen Allan, Portsoy, graduated M.Eng in computer and electronic systems (with distinction) from the University of Strathclyde. During the course, he won prizes for the best fourth year telecommunications project and the best fifth year group project. He also won the fifth year prize for academic achievement and services to the M.Eng degree programme. Stephen goes to London in September to work with BP. He is a former pupil of Banff Academy.
Anne-Marie Alexander, from Banff, a former Banff Academy pupil, graduated from the University of Glasgow with a BSc (Honours) in Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry, and is about to start a PhD in nitrate chemistry at the university.
Barry Bertram has qualified with an HND in mechanical engineering from Aberdeen College. Barry, from Banff, is working as a structural engineer with the Wood Group in Aberdeen.
Morag-Louise Alexander, Addison Crescent, Banff, has graduated BSc (Hons) in physiotherapy from the Robert Gordon University. Morag-Louise intends to undertake an MSc in pain management next year. The former Banff Primary and Banff Academy pupil is currently working as a hydrotherapist in Nairn
Shona Cameron, Banff, graduated with an MA Honours degree in Fine Art from the University of Edinburgh. The former pupil of Banff Primary and Banff Academy is now working in the National Galleries of Scotland in Edinburgh, and intends travelling and working abroad next year.
Neil Anderson has graduated MBChB from Manchester University. The former pupil did the first three years of his degree at St Andrews. He has now started work in the accident and emergency department of the Blackpool Victoria Hospital.
Carlene Cormack, Banff, graduated from Aberdeen University with an MA honours degree in Politics and International Relations. Carlene continues her studies next year to become a teacher.
Alistair Clark, son of former Banff woman Jeannie Craig (née Masson) graduated PhD in Politics and International Relations from Aberdeen University. He now works at Birmingham University as a research associate. Mr Clark’s late grandparents, John and Agnes Masson, lived in Windy Brae, and he has an uncle, Brian, who stays in Banff.
