It is Banff Gala in 1954 or 1955, and a crowd is watching something intently in the grounds of Banff Castle. There must be some weel-kent faces here. The photo was sent in by the Rev Harold Steven (the young man in blazer and glasses, centre back). Almost two decades later, he would return to the town, with his wife Allison, to be ordained as minister of Trinity and Alvah kirk.
