THE release of new video The Fog may have made Highland singer Rachel Sermanni feel more at home as she faces temperatures of 20C plus in India.
Rachel from Carrbridge has just released the video to preview her upcoming EP release, Black Currents, downloadable from January 30 and physically on sale on February 6, both from iTunes and http://www.townsend-records.co.uk/stores/rachelsermanni
As well as playing live dates across India, including Delhi and Kolkata, Rachel has also been recording with Indian musicians since her arrival there on Christmas Eve.
But there will be a change in temperature for her next recording sessions back in the Highlands later this month, when Rachel will be in Ardgour to record her debut album, due out later this year.
You can also catch her live at Celtic Connections on January 22 and also on February 5 - the day after her Inverness Ironworks headlining set on February 4. And after a string of UK headlining dates - also touring with bands Russian Red and Fink - Rachel is back in the Highlands to play Sabhal Mor Ostaig, Skye, on February 24, Stornoway An Lanntair on February 25 and The Ceilidh Place, Ullapool, on February 26.
