A FORMER Scottish surfing champion, who hails from Banff, has given up her legal career to set up her own surf school.
Dee Ripoli, who secured the coveted national women's title in 2011, decided to follow her dream of teaching adults and children to ride the waves after realising her heart was not in the legal career she had spent seven years studying and training for.

BANFF racer Jordan Gronkowski made a blistering start to the Scottish Formula Ford Championship with two second place finishes and a fastest lap.

DEVERON Valley Boxing Club can once again stake its claim to have national champions, with three of its boxers winning gold at the recent Scottish Championship open class.
Brothers Billy and Callum Stuart and Lewis McCormick won their respective classes, with Billy having won gold at the championships four years in a row, Callum is a three-year winner and McCormick has taken the top spot the past two years.

YOUNG boxers from the area will take to the ring in a showcase event at Macduff next month.
Building on the success of last year's event, Deveron Valley Amateur Boxing Club and Byron Amateur Boxing Club, based in Aberdeen, will once again be holding a 'Friday Fight Night' at Macduff Bowling Club.
