HUNTLY pulled off the shock of the night in the Highland League with a 1-0 win over title favourites Brora Rangers.

 

A second half own goal was enough to secure the points for the Christie Park men.

Deveronvale went down 3-0 at Nairn County, all the goals coming in the first half as Vale had Shaun Carrol and goalkeeper Grant Pennet sent off. Nairn also had Naismith red carded.

Turriff Utd and Buckie Thistle played out a 2-2 draw at The Haughs.

David Ross had given the home side a 1-0 half-time lead and Scott Miller added a second on 53 minutes.

However, within a minute Steven Ross pulled one back for the champions and then David Booth was sent off for the home side.

Lewis MacKinnon grabbed an equaliser with 11 minutes remaining.

Bruce Raffel and Ryan Whelan twice levelled for Keith at Inverurie but eventually lost 3-2.

Cove Rangers kept up their free scoring start to the season with an 8-0 thumping of Strathspey Thistle in Grantown.

Formartine were 1-0 winners over Fraserburgh, Rothes were 4-3 winners at Fort William, Clach beat Lossie 2-1 and Wick Academy and Forres drew 1-1.
