HERE is a picture which was a long time in the waiting.
Duff House Royal Golf Club's under-18 team proudly display the shield for the Banffshire Golf Association Pennant League - the first time the club has lifted the shield for 26 years.
It was presented at the annual?prize-giving to a packed clubhouse where members congratulated the team and their convener, Gary McDonald, on the success which follows on from the juniors lifting the Felicity Trophy in 2010.
Convener McDonald said: "The lads managed to beat the likes of Turriff, Huntly, Cullen, Royal Tarlair and Buckpool to lift this shield, so it should boost their confidence for next season."
Club manager James Cameron said: "The juniors have had another great year, and Gary McDonald has done a great job carrying on from where Colin Milne left off last year.
"The team reached the Felicity semi-finals, were runners-up in Aberdeenshire Challenge final and went on to win the BGA Pennant League - the first time the club has lifted it in 26 years.
"Individually, there have been significant handicap reductions this year also, so we feel very fortunate to have a good junior section coming through and are extremely grateful to Gary for his input."
