Deveronvale stun Buckie Thistle

THE "spirit and togetherness" of his players was praised by Deveronvale manager Steve Dolan following their 3-2 win at champions Buckie Thistle on Saturday, October 28.

The Banff side raced into a two goal lead with a double from Grant Noble only to see Buckie level in the closing 13 minutes of the game through Steven Ross and Shaun Carrol.

However, Lewis Dunbar grabbed a late winner for the visitors.

Dolan said: "When we lost the two goals quickly everybody expected Buckie to go on and win but all credit goes to the lads."

Buckie boss Graeme Stewart said: "I think Vale basically adapted to the conditions better than us and worked harder."
