Maroons boss Allan Hale is looking to put the promising youngster on loan to a Highland League club next season.

He already has Grant Pennet and Paul Leask, two experienced keepers, signed up for next season.

Hale revealed: "David was very close to going to Deveronvale for a season-long loan but that fell through at the last minute. David had a change of heart on the move, for whatever reason.

"I want him to stay in the Highland League. He has shown in the last two or three games that he is a quality goalkeeper.

"He still needs to go out and get regular game time."
