GRAMPIAN Police are appealing for information about incidents of fire-raising in the Buckie area.
The two large grass fires occurred at about 3pm on Wednesday, July 25 and the day after at Craigbo Terrace, Portessie and Great Westeren Road, Buckie.
The blazes are suspected to have been started deliberately and Grampian Fire and Rescue were required to attend and extinguish them.
There was no damage caused to property, however, large areas of grassland were destroyed as a result.
PC Charlene Robertson from the Buckie local policing team said: "The actions of those responsible are extremely dangerous and the starting of fires so close to properties could have had more serious consequences.
"I would appeal to anybody with information to contact us."
