A GIANT of the Scottish folk scene will perform at the third Haal of music, song and story, in Portsoy in May.

Archie Fisher will play the main stage on Saturday, May 26, and jointly lead a singer songwriter's workshop the following day.

The festival, which runs from May 25-27, will also feature The Poozies, the all-female band featuring harps, guitar, accordion, fiddle and superb vocals, on the Saturday night, with Boys Of The Lough stalwart Cathal McConnell, along with Deskford resident and accomplished fiddler Duncan Wood, completing the line-up.
