Agnes says 'tea-rio' as cafe closes doors

IT WAS a cold day and also very special day – which meant a lot of the

 warming home-made favourites were on the menu at Macduff’s Harbour Cafè last Tuesday.

And there was no shortage of customers who arrived to say goodbye to owner Agnes Bain on her last day after 24 years of running the outlet.

Many also brought flowers and gifts as a thank you for all the times she had fed them so well.

Finally, after serving the last customer, Agnes sat down to a late lunch with her husband John, son-in-law Eric Boyd, and her daughters, Mhairi and Judith – both of whom were determined to share their mother’s final day in the little wooden building which had served countless fishermen, boatbuilders and tourists among others.
