Written byPat Scott

A VITAL minibus service for the elderly and infirm needs more drivers to stay on the road.

The Huntly community minibus provides a much needed service.

The Huntly community minibus service could be at risk if volunteers do not come forward.

Ronnie Legge, who coordinates the service, said at least two new drivers are needed.

The minibus operates at least three days a week and is the only vehicle in the town which has a rear lift for wheelchair users.

Each Thursday it provides a service for people who would not otherwise be able to get into the town centre for the bank, post office or shopping.

Anyone interested in becoming  a volunteer driver should phone 01466 792 533 or mobile 07899 798643.
