Police have urged drivers to take care, with the A98 from Fochabers to Buckie particularly badly affected.

The worst hit area is near to Arradoul where workmen had been cutting channels into nearby farm fields for water to run off.

The Braes of Enzie road to Keith was also severely affected by flood water.

The main approaches into Buckie were not too bad but drivers are urged to exercise caution with a lot of standing water.

The Buckie Thistle match with Huntly tonight has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch and flooded dressing rooms.

An amber weather warning has been issued for the Moray area with heavy overnight rain continuing this morning.
