The Ace Winches-sponsored festival will focus on traditional boats and sailing.

Vivien Rae, marketing manager, said: "We look forward to welcoming historic boats, including Isabella Fortune, and a fleet of smaller vessels."

Support from Northlink Ferries will see the return of Vikings from the 2017 Up Helly Aa squad.

The festival is also about music, traditional crafts and food and drink.

For the young visitors there will be a giant water slide, sailing, segways, mobile climbing wall, bicycle track and zorbing.

You can buy advance discounted tickets at www.stbfportsoy.org and they are also available on each day of the festival.
