Pair charged over Banff thefts

POLICE Scotland has confirmed that a 34-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man from the Banff area have been charged in connection with an alleged theft by housebreaking at a charity in Banff.Police have urged firms to beware of fake notes.

A four figure sum of cash was reported missing from Daniel’s Place, Low Street on February 12.

The pair have also been charged in connection with the alleged theft of charity money from another business in the Low Street area on Saturday, February 11.

They are expected to appear at Peterhead Sheriff Court on Tuesday February 28.

Detective Constable Kate Coyle, from CID Proactive Unit, said: "I would like to thank the local community for their support and for all information provided to Police throughout this investigation."
