MACDUFF Shipyards has concluded a deal to buy Buckie Harbour from Moray Council.
The Macduff firm bought a site at Buckie harbour in 2013 which employs 20 people.
Managing director John Watt said: "We see great potential in Buckie Harbour. We have been providing a restricted service to the marine sector in Buckie these last three years, just launching the first large fishing vessel to be built in the town in 15 years."
Macduff Shipyards has its main operating base at Macduff Harbour and also operates out of Fraserburgh Harbour.
