COMMUNITY groups have been urged to consider organising events as part of the Coastal Fringe festival.
There are currently 10 venues across Banff and Macduff taking part in the two day festival.
The main part of the festival is based in and around the grounds of Banff Castle on May 27 and 28.
Ian Williams of Twin Towns Unted Regeneration Forum (Turf) has also urged businesses to open on the Saturday and Sunday of the festival, to take advantage of the extra visitors.
The festival will distribute 5000 leaflets advertising events and businesses that will be open over the weekend.
To find out how to become part of the festival see this week's Banffshire Journal.
